This course is designed for students undertaking an apprenticeship with an intention of becoming a licensed automotive light vehicle mechanic.
You will gain the skills to become an automotive mechanic and work on a variety of light vehicles. This includes inspecting, repairing and replacing all mechancial components of a light motor vehicle. This course contains 36 Units of Competence and is usually undertaken over the first 3 years of the automotive light vehicle mechanical trade apprenticeship.
Our training is delievered in a mixed mode of delivery combining on site training at our training facility, as well as work based training on site with employers.

When you complete the Certificate II in Automotive Servicing Technology, you'll have what employers are looking for in an apprentice automotive mechanic.
You will have the skills and knowledge to work effectively in the automotive industry, inspecting and servicing transmissions, steering, brakes, fuel injection systems, hydraulics, and batteries, troubleshoot basic faults, and workplace safety and health.
